Spend your day off with us!

This year, Labor Day and National Wildlife Day share a date, so we came up with a full day of wildlife programs for you to enjoy:

10am (Visitor Center) - Meet Our Critters: Our reptiles, Sam, Green Bean, and Henry, are excited to meet you! Stop by the visitor center to learn about the habitats and diets of reptiles and how they differ from amphibians.

1pm (Picnic Area) - Guess the Mammal: A ranger will be stationed in the picnic area near shelter 1 with mammal furs! Do you think you can guess what they are?

3pm (Visitor Center) - Habitat Designing: Put your creativity to the test and design a park that several species of birds would want to call home.

If you have any questions about this program, please email megan.goin@dcr.virginia.gov. We hope to see you there!
