The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park is excited to announce the spring semester of the WiseJAMS Music Program. This program seeks to preserve our important Appalachian Mountain music heritage by offering low-cost fiddle, banjo, and guitar classes to small groups of students in after-school settings.

Classes will be held again this semester on Thursdays from 3:45-5:45 p.m. and will serve students in grades 3-8. Youth who participate in this program are required to attend all weekly classes. During the classes students will receive an after-school snack and a 90-minute instructional session.

Fees for the program are $120 per semester for full pay and $60 for partial pay; scholarships are available. Instruments will be provided “on loan” at no cost to the students while participating in the program.
