Learn about the fascinating history of our park, our lake, and the surrounding area. Parking fees are waived this day for anyone with a Virginia State Park license plate.
11 a.m. Claytor Crafts @ the Beach Building
Create something unique with natural elements found around the park.
2 p.m. Howe House History Tour @ the Howe House Front Porch
Join a ranger to learn how our beautiful lake came to be and the fascinating history of the lake's past inhabitants.
4 p.m. Roaming Ranger @ Throughout the Park and Campgrounds
Be on the lookout for the roaming ranger with an interesting mini-program.
7 p.m. Candle Making Campfire @ the Interpretive Campfire Circle in Campground D
Join us by the campfire as April Martin from the Wilderness Road Regional Museum talks about the early history of our mountains and leads us in making candles.
