Join us for an informative and entertaining look at the legends of what happened to the Confederate Treasury, which has been a popular topic in many books, movies, and newspapers for nearly 160 years. This 45-minute presentation will provide an overview of the mysteries of lost Confederate gold as well as some Virginia connections and exciting recent discoveries.
Guests are encouraged to enjoy one of the many hiking trails throughout the park or learn more by taking the marked driving tour around the park. Trail guides and a driving tour map will be available.
Sailor's Creek Battlefield Historical State Park is located at 6541 Saylers Creek Road in Rice, VA. The Visitor Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, while the park itself closes at dusk. Each presentation as well as parking is FREE. For more information, call (804) 561-7510.
