Did you know Twin Lakes State Park is in the Chesapeake Bay watershed? Help keep Virginia, the Bay, the oceans, and the planet beautiful this Earth Day by helping rid the park of litter. Pick up a bucket and trash grabber at the Discovery Center, the large building at the Goodwin Lake swim beach, any time between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Parks are for everyone. This is an inclusive program open to all people. To ensure an enjoyable time, please alert park staff to any necessary special accommodations you or your group may need.
About Earth Day
In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability. Visitors are invited to participate in educational programs, guided nature walks, wildlife observation, tree plantings and service projects to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the state’s 43 parks.
