The Overton/Hillsman family has played a significant role in the history of Sailor's Creek Battlefield. From a working farm to an American Civil War field hospital, this home and the family resided there are forever embedded in its history. This program will introduce the basics of genealogical research, which staff historians use at the battlefield, and provide a glimpse into the Overton/Hillsman Family tree.
