Sailor's Creek Battlefield is celebrating National Trails Day by inviting you to walk in the footsteps of the brave men who once fought here. "Walking in their Footsteps" will be a perfect opportunity to enjoy the scenic hillside of the battlefields while learning the history that took place with our newly released trail guide.
This event is free to the public. However, it may be altered or canceled in the event of inclement weather. For more information, call our Visitor Center at 804-561-7510.
About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day, an annual event encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 43 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
