We will be celebrating Earth Day with a fair behind our Visitor Center. See what you can do to make this world a better place for everyone. There will be multiple booths from various local organizations covering topics from watersheds, light pollution, animals, crafts for the kids, and a guided wetlands hike at 10 a.m. We will have a guided hike of our wetlands at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Don't forget to check out our Visitor Center with our live animal displays and exhibits. We will be giving out free native Virginia wildflower seeds. Fun for the whole family!
About Earth Day
In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability. Visitors are invited to participate in educational programs, guided nature walks, wildlife observation, tree plantings and service projects to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the state’s 43 parks.
