Vultures are a critical component of the ecosystem yet are frequently misunderstood and maligned. Today's talk will provide the facts and information you need to become an informed and enthusiastic advocate for these amazing species. The presentation will explore the natural history of vultures in Virginia, the basic biology and ecology of our native vultures, and highlight some human–vulture conflicts and mitigation strategies. Meet at the Lupton access barn area. Although we will have some extra chairs, you are welcome to bring a chair or blanket for your comfort.

*Although this is a free program, all vehicles must display a valid annual or daily parking pass while participating in park programs. **Rain date: May 10
