Discover how fire was used by Virginia’s First Peoples to fell trees and build canoes, followed by a tasty treat *Pre-registration recommended. Participants will get to try their hand at making fire using both the bow drill and flint and steel. They will also have the opportunity to scrape out a burned log and contribute to the creation of a dugout canoe!
*All supplies provided. Program and s’more supplies will accommodate up to 15 participants per program. Pre-registration is recommended to guarantee supplies for yourself and/or your group, otherwise it is first come first serve. Call the office at (804) 642-2419 to pre-register.
