Join the Park Rangers of Clinch River State Park in enjoying a short float down the Clinch River. Accompany a park ranger on this kayak trip from Old Castlewood to St. Paul to learn about the park and about fishing and wildlife along the river. Don't miss out on this relaxing trip. Be sure to bring sunscreen, snacks, and water. Depending on water flow this trip can last between 1.5 and 3.5 hours. This trip is recommended for children 12 and over. Prices for the trip will include kayak and equipment rental, and transport. This event will meet at the Saint Paul boat access located beside the Oxbow Center and will return to this access point at the conclusion of the float. The $20/person fee for the trip includes canoe, paddles, life jacket, and transportation. Space is limited so please call 276-762-5076, or email clinchriver@dcr.virginia.gov and register. Space is limited so please call ahead and pre-register before 4 pm on Friday, May 25, 2024.
