Explore the 32-acre Prince Edward Lake, the larger of the park's two lakes, on this guided canoe tour. During this serene paddle, you'll witness some of the park's beautiful natural scenery while you discover the significance the lake played in the civil rights movement in the 1950s and 60s.

This program is for beginners and experienced paddlers alike; prior canoeing experience is not required. This activity is NOT suitable for children under 5 years old. Those aged 5-15 MUST be accompanied by an adult. The cost is $5 per participant on top of the $7 per vehicle daily parking fee.

Advanced registration is required, and fees must be paid at time of reservation. Register by 5 p.m. the day prior at the Discovery Center or over the phone with a credit card by calling 434-394-0767. Space is limited, so spots are available on a first come, first served basis.

Parks are for everyone. To ensure an enjoyable time, please alert park staff to any necessary special accommodations you or your group may need.
