Multiple Locations

When

Sept. 28, 2024. 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

How do you give back to the land that surrounds and nurtures you? You are welcome to celebrate National Public Lands Day by cleaning up trails and picnic areas at Powhatan State Park. The flora, fauna, and fellow park guests will all benefit from the removal of plastics and other trash from our environment. Bring along your friends and family; everyone gets free entry into the park!

Stop by the park office from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. to grab the trash pick-up equipment, then choose your route and go enjoy the outdoors! Return your equipment and trash bags to the park office before 4pm.

We recommend downloading the free Avenza Maps app which will show you the park's detailed trail map and your GPS location. Please wear close-toed shoes and bring plenty of water.

Happy Trails!
