Join us for Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend.

Sept 14, 2024 Discovery Hike: 3 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Join rangers and hike Bushey Point Trail looking for trees, wildlife, and flowers. Rangers will stop along the shoreline and do a water quality test. Remember to bring a reusable water bottle and wear closed toed shoes.

Sept. 15, 2024 Canoe Guided Paddles

Paddle 1: 10 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.

Paddle 2: 11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Enjoy a fun paddling adventure at Leesylvania State Park on Powell's Creek! Watch majestic bald eagles and ospreys soar above, a heron hunting along the shore, and turtles basking in the sunshine. No paddling experience is required; all participants must be of 6 years or older. Spots are limited so make your reservation today by calling the Visitor Center at (703)583-6904. Please meet at Potomac Place 15 minutes prior to event start time. Don't forget appropriate clothing, footwear, sunglasses, sunscreen, and water.
