Join us for an exciting adventure on the Potomac River as we explore its aquatic treasures using a traditional seine net! This family-friendly program offers a unique opportunity to learn about ancient fishing techniques that have successfully captured fish for millennia. As you wade into the cool waters, you’ll discover a diverse array of fish species that call the river home, enhancing our appreciation for local ecology and conservation. 

Our knowledgeable Widewater State Park Rangers will guide you through the process of seining, teaching you about the significance of sustainable fishing practices and the importance of preserving our natural habitats. Remember to wear water-friendly gear so you can fully engage in this hands-on experience. Bring your curiosity and enthusiasm, and prepare for a day of learning and discovery beneath the surface!
