Foraging in Spring

Where

Powhatan State Park, 4616 Powhatan State Park Rd., Powhatan, VA 23139.
Launch A Parking

When

April 4, 2025. 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Foraging can foster a special connection with the land as well as with fellow foragers. Join a ranger on a walk and discussion as we search for edible delights in the springtime forest, meadow, or even  unassuming grassy lawn! You'll become acquainted with the bounty that nature offers us, learn how to identify certain edible plants, and practice foraging with respect and gratitude.

Please bring water and wear comfortable hiking shoes. The walk will be up to 2.5 miles on an easy to moderate trail with some elevation gain.
