Wash Woods legends come alive for one weekend only! Join us for a spooky event for all ages as we explore this hidden hamlet deep in the maritime forest of False Cape in the dark. From shipwreck survivors to pirates, hear ghost stories and tales of the past of those that once roamed False Cape. Under the cover of night, we’ll journey by tram through Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge into False Cape State Park. Then embark on a 1-mile roundtrip hike to the historic Wash Woods site including a cemetery from the 1800s. This Friends of False Cape fundraiser is $15 per person. Fall-themed snacks and refreshments will be available for a donation. Reservations are required by calling 757-426-7128. Bring a flashlight, sturdy walking shoes, and support the Friends of False Cape!
