Slither on down to the Visitor Center to weave a web of knowledge on the spookier side of nature. You might just learn they're not as creepy or crawly as they seem. Explore the information at your own pace and pick up crafts and handouts to continue learning at home. Each week we will shine a light on a new topic, and learn to fear them, nevermore.
October 6 - Creepy Crawlies: Creeping and crawling by might actually be vital insectivores and decomposers keeping our balance in check.
October 13 - Frightening Fungi: Rainy fall days bring our mushrooms to the surface. View some introductions to identification and gain a greater appreciation for the spread of the spores.
October 20 - Ominous Osteology: Get an inside peek at the life of mammals from their skeletal system.
October 27 - Bewitching Bats: The last week of October is always International Bat Week. Join the globe in learning about local bats and what we can do to help them out.
