When

Nov. 23, 2024. 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Celebrate the winter season by making your own wreath, sipping hot cocoa, and warming up by a cozy fire. In this hands-on workshop, you will construct a wreath using a patchwork of beautiful winter flora found at Powhatan State Park. We will begin with a walk to forage for native cedar, pine, holly and whatever else we may find. You are welcome to bring your own cuttings, ribbons, or other decorations as well! We will provide tools and work gloves.

The workshop will be held at an outdoor picnic shelter, so make sure to bundle up!  We'll have a fire, hot cocoa, and tea to keep you warm. The cost $15 per wreath.

Registration is required due to limited supplies. To register, please visit or call the Park Office at (804) 598-7128 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily or send an email to powhatan@dcr.virginia.gov.
