The Park will offer a monthly Prowl the Powell a monthly nature series on the third Saturday of each month. Participants who are interested in the Prowl the Powell nature series should meet volunteers and park staff at the front gate of the museum. Dates will stay the same, but times are subject to change.

The November Prowl the Powell nature series will be “Our Little Words”. Participants will join park rangers and volunteers on this easy and accessible walk. Participants will learn how to become better stewards of the nature and active members of Virginia’s conservation movement. Presenters will show how even small acts can have big world impacts, as well as share some great nature-inspired gifts as we prepare for this holiday season. This is a wonderful way to bring the Prowl the Powell monthly series to its yearly close.

The Prowl the Powell monthly nature series will be held rain or shine. Participants are asked to wear appropriate clothing for the weather and comfortable walking shoes. Binoculars are encouraged but not required. Registration is not required for this program.
