Join a ranger to make your own corn husk doll and learn about their unique history! The corn husk doll has origins in Indigenous culture. Children have always been masters of making use of idle hands, free time, and their imagination in an effort to keep entertained or have fun, and the corn husk doll is an enduring testament to that. Corn husk dolls were a creative outlet for play made from by products of a crop essential to survival.
Learn about the history of corn husk dolls as you make this traditional craft at the Quayle Classroom in the Farm and Forestry Museum. All supplies will be provided.
