Nov. 16, 2024. 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Now is a great time to get ready for maple syrup season later this winter. Have you ever thought about making maple syrup at home? Are you simply curious about how maple syrup is made? We'll simplify the process from "tree to treat" and show you what you need to make and enjoy Virginia maple syrup, while we can. We'll be meeting inside the Meeting Facility for the program and seating will be available.

Weather permitting, we hope to kick off our "Sappy Saturday" maple syrup program series on January 1 (for First Day Hikes), January 11, and January 25. On these days this winter, we hope the sap will be flowing and we'll demonstrate how to make maple syrup.
