Let’s learn about bats! Do you know what species of bats inhabit the Piedmont region of Virginia? One way to identify bats is through their calls. Bat call frequencies are usually pitched too high for humans to hear naturally; however, they can be heard or recorded using our bat detector! Our bat detector will assist us with species identification. We will also discuss bat behavior and ways to protect this important creature in our ecosystem.
