Hibernation is coming. Learn how groundhogs, chipmunks, and other true hibernators in Virginia survive the winter in this program at Seven Bends State Park. Hands on, experiential games and lessons, bring the subject matter to life, from foraging to fat retention. You’ll even learn a surprising bear fact.

Participants from ages 8-13 (along with an adult), are welcome to join Ranger Daniel at the canoe launch. This program includes an easy walk that is less than a half mile to the picnic shelter.
