Come hunt for shark teeth on the shoreline of the Potomac! Join a ranger to find out how fossils are formed and what types can be found at Caledon. We'll take a wagon ride & short hike down to the river to scour the beach for these clues to the past. You can BYO strainer and sift if you like, or simply use your eyes to hunt for treasure. Terrain includes sand, grass, and gravel paths.

Meet inside the Visitor Center to check in for the program. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes that can get wet. The shoreline may be windy and chilly this time of year. Paid reservations are required as space is limited. Call 540-663-3861 or stop by the Visitor Center to reserve your spot. Parking fee is $5.
