This series of homeschool programs for students aged 8-12 will meet at the Visitor Center at Lake Anna State Park from 10am - 1pm on multiple dates. There is a small fee of $5 per student, per program, to be paid at the park at the time of the program. Students will be expected to bring their own lunches/snacks and refillable water bottles, as well as weather-appropriate clothing, as we will try to be outside as much as possible. Registration is done through Eventbrite and fees are collected at the Visitor Center at the time of the program.

There is no expectation to commit to the whole series of programs. Register here.

January 9th: Meet each other and the park. Learn a little about Lake Anna and make a journal to help you keep track of all of the cool things you learn.

January 23rd: Bats

February 6th: Camouflage

February 20th: Endangered Populations

March 6th: Where Does Litter Come From? Where Does it Go?

March 20th: Habitat for Monarchs

April 3rd: Little Limnologists

April 17th: Mining
