When

Jan. 25, 2025. 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The bald eagle soars wild and free over the Potomac River. Come learn about the biology and history of this American icon, and find out why so many can be found at Caledon. We'll take a wagon ride to the river and walk along the beach, where we aim to watch eagles as they soar and perch along the shore. Bring your own binoculars, or borrow a pair from a Ranger.

Meet inside the Visitor Center to check in. Dress for the weather; the shoreline can be chilly and windy this time of year. Paid reservations are required as space is limited. Please call (540) 663-3861 or stop by the Visitor Center to reserve your spot. Parking fee is $5.

An eagle soars free above the shores of the Potomac.
