Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m., beginning Feb. 15 through April 30, per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

Where

Sweet Run State Park, 11661 Harpers Ferry Road, Hillsboro, VA 20132.
Interpretive Center

When

Jan. 28, 2025. 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Bring your current project, plans, or patterns, and work with others doing the same.  If you don’t have a project but would like to contribute, we are looking for some clothing items that we can either wear or display at the park for special events. This is not a class but a chance to share ideas and ask questions from other folks making clothing items. Bring everything you need to work on your project. We will have a few items available to share. The park will provide tables and chairs.  A $10 per car park entrance fee is payable at the kiosk as you drive in. You can also purchase an annual pass online. Meet at the Interpretive Center.
