Nature Journaling at the Powhatan Library

This winter, Powhatan State Park is offering Nature Journaling workshops at the Powhatan County Public Library! Teens and adults are invited to deepen their connection with nature and stretch their creative muscles in this hands-on course. You'll practice collecting and recording your observations of nature in various creative ways with your journal. We will begin with an introduction to nature journaling, followed by time devoted to outside exploration, observation, and recording in your journals. This class involves optional walking on an easy trail near the library. This workshop is partially indoors and partially outdoors, so please dress for the weather.

Location: Powhatan County Library, 2270 Mann Road, Powhatan, VA 23139

What To Bring: Please bring something to write with (i.e. pencil, pen, or markers) and something to write on (i.e. blank paper or a sketchbook). You may also want to bring a collapsible chair to sit on while recording your observations outside.
