Feb. 2, 2025. 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

On the first Sunday of every month, our Self-care Sunday Series invites you to join in on various activities specially created to help us engage with the beautiful surroundings of Powhatan State Park. By practicing awareness, curiosity, stillness, and movement in the environment, we celebrate our kinship with nature and cultivate our own well-being. Bring a friend or come on your own; you may even find that new friendships naturally sprout from gatherings like this one!

Depending on the seasonal happenings, activities can include drawing, writing, discussion, and quiet observation of nature. In good weather, we will likely walk at a leisurely pace on one of the nearby trails for up to one mile, along flat/easy terrain. If raining, we will meet under Shelter #1. In the event of thunderstorms, the program will be cancelled.

About the facilitator: Sarah Croscutt is a writer and owner/facilitator of From the Outside, a series of plant and nature-based activities designed to cultivate connection and well-being.
