Owl Prowl

Location of Seven Bends State Park in Virginia

Where

Seven Bends State Park, 2111 South Hollingsworth Road, Woodstock, VA 22664.
Lupton Access - Picnic Shelter - 1191 Lupton Rd.

When

Feb. 8, 2025. 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Take a walk in the dark with us to search for some of the park's most elusive night-time predators: owls! As we walk along under the quiet cover of darkness, we'll listen for their haunting voices as they cry out across the landscape. You'll practice identifying the unique calls of four different species of owls and learn how their fascinating adaptations have made them a mighty night-time predator. The walk will be an easy mile and a half with frequent stops to listen for owl calls.

Please bring a flashlight or headlamp with a red light setting or red cellophane covering to prevent disrupting the nocturnal animals and our own night vision. Please meet at the Lupton picnic shelter. 'WHO' knows who we'll find?

**All vehicles must display a valid annual or daily parking pass while parked on the property. Either pass can be purchased while entering the park that day.

Please register here.
