Open fires are prohibited throughout the park from midnight to 4 p.m., beginning Feb. 15 through April 30, per the 4 p.m. Burning Law. This includes wood and charcoal. Gas is permissible. Campground fires are allowed during the restricted time if a camp host is on duty and signage to that effect is posted in the campground. Failure to observe the 4 p.m. Burning Law can result in a fine. Contact the Park Office for additional information.

March 1, 2025. 7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Astrophotography is a type of photography that focuses on the night sky, photographing anything from other galaxies to beautiful nebulae. If you already do astrophotography, or you have the gear and don't know where to start or maybe you are just curious, now is your chance to bring your camera, tripod and star tracker (or even just your phone and a tripod) to the park to get great pictures. A ranger will have their own gear set up and will have some tips and tricks on how to get better pictures of the night sky. This will be held outside, in front of the Clover Visitor Center.
