The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park is excited to announce the Spring semester of the WiseJAMS Music Program. WiseJAMS seeks to preserve our musical heritage by offering low-cost classes in fiddle, old time banjo and guitar to small groups of students in after-school settings.

Classes will be held again this semester every Thursdays from 3:45-5:45 p.m. and will serve students in grades 3-8. Youth who participate in this program are required to attend all weekly classes. During the classed, students will receive an after-school snack and a 90-minute instructional session.

Costs will be kept low. Fees for the program are $150 per semester for full pay, $75 for partial pay, and scholarships are available if tuition cost present a problem. We want all children to be able to participate in the WiseJAMS Music Program. Instruments will be provided “on loan” at no cost to the students while participating in the program.
