Junior Ranger Summer Camp

Become a birder, snorkel in the river, explore underground in a cave, ride a bike on our historic trail, and learn primitive skills such as archery and fire-starting...all in one week! This is just the beginning, there's still so much more fun planned in this day camp.

Junior Ranger Camp is open to children ages 11-14 years old. Camp runs Monday, July 7th through Friday, July 11th from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. each day. Pick-up and drop-off will be at the Foster Falls location - 116 Orphanage Dr. Max Meadows, VA 24360 each day. Children will graduate as a Junior Ranger and receive a certificate at a ceremony on Friday, July 11th, from 3:00-3:30 p.m. 

Pre-registration is required since space is limited (only 12 participants total). Register by emailing Erin.Pitts@dcr.virginia.gov, or you may call the office at 276-699-6778 to register over the phone.

Upon successful registration, you will be contacted to confirm your camper's details and to make payment for the camp in full over the phone or in-person ($75 per child for the entire week). If you fail to make payment for the camp session within 30 days of registration, the spot will be forfeited. You will be notified with more details when the registration is confirmed.
