Guided Hikes

Come join one of our Rangers on a guided hike through Widewater State Park! Holly Marsh Trail offers views of the wetlands before ending at the Potomac River before heading back the way we came, while Long Pond Trail stays closer to the Visitor Center and showcases Aquia Creek and Long Pond. The guided hike schedule for March is below:

- Monday, March 3rd: Holly Marsh, ~2 miles

- Sunday, March 9th: Holly Marsh, ~ 2 miles

- Monday. March 17th: Long Pond trail, ~ 1 mile

- Sunday, March 30th: Long Pond Trail, ~ 1 mile

The hike guide will meet visitors inside the Visitor Center prior to departing for the trail. To prevent missing the group leaving, it is best to try and be at the Visitor Center ~5 minutes before the start of the program. And please be sure to dress for the weather! We will be outside for the duration of these hikes.
