Mom does everything for you. Now, it’s your turn to do something for her. Show your mom some love this Mother’s Day weekend by submitting up to two flowers for “Blossoms and Blessings – A Celebration of Mom” in honor or in memory of her.
Clear bud vases are recommended but potted flowers can be submitted as well. Please keep in mind that displays can be no taller than 18 inches. Suggested flowers are potted plants, cacti, succulents, bulbous plants, and tuberous plants. This exhibition will be on display in the Victorian Parlor of the Museum on Saturday, May 10 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, May 11 from 1 p.m.-5 p.m.
All exhibits and participation forms must be at the museum by 4 p.m. Thursday, May 8. You may pick up a participation form from the front desk at the museum or email swvamuseum@dcr.virginia.gov.
There is no charge to visit the flower display, however, regular admission rates apply for those wishing to tour the museum. $5 adults, $3 children ages 6-12, under 6 free.
