When
June 7, 2025. 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Since hiking is a healthy activity and a great way to connect with nature, doing it more often is a perfect New Year's resolution. Join us on the first day of 2025 for a hike in the cold morning air. Along the way, discover the park’s history and explore the natural landscape we call home. Make sure to dress warmly and wear shoes suitable for hiking. The walk will begin at Clyburn Ridge Trailhead and will travel up the ridge with beautiful vistas before we come back through Clyburn Hollow. The hike will be around two miles and cover some moderately difficult terrain with occasional difficult inclines.
About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day, an annual event encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
