Join the Pocahontas State Park team in observance of National Trails Day as we work together to keep our park trails free of litter. By participating, you will help preserve the trails for hiking, mountain biking, and equestrian use, ensuring a cleaner and safer environment for all park visitors.
Gloves and trail cleanup equipment will be provided to all volunteers. Participants are advised to bring bug and tick repellent for personal protection. Cleanup efforts will take place across all trails within the park, and your contribution will play a key role in maintaining the park's natural beauty and accessibility.

About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day, an annual event encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 43 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
