Did you know the actions of park guests and rangers at Seven Bends State Park have an impact on the Chesapeake Bay? On June 7, you will have a chance to make that impact a positive one. Come at 1pm to meet local Chesapeake Bay Foundation representative Matt Kawalski to hear a quick Bay Report from 2024. Then head out help rangers build and fill in steps along the river access points to do what we can to help stop erosion in the park.
*Meet at the Lupton Access canoe launch to get all the safety gear that you will need.

About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day, an annual event encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 43 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
