Celebrate Earth Day with Chippokes State Park by participating in our Beach Clean Up. In the words of Woodsy Owl (1971), "Give a hoot; don't pollute!"

Earth Day is a special excuse to find ways to volunteer and make a difference out in your local communities. Volunteer and help out the planet today. Help us keep our shorelines clean and safe for others to enjoy.

Meet at the Visitor Center for instructions and supplies (gloves, available trash grabbers, trash bags. etc.). A Ranger will be out on the beach leading our efforts. Be sure to collect as much trash as you can.

About Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability. Visitors are invited to participate in educational programs, guided nature walks, wildlife observation, tree plantings and service projects to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the state’s 43 parks.
