Become a prospector as we follow in the footsteps of "Stampmill Sam". We'll visit the Goodwin Gold Mine and discover how gold was mined in Virginia in the late 1700's. Then we'll pan for gold on the shores of the quartz laden creek nearby. Please wear sturdy shoes that can get wet and be prepared for a short hike to the mine site.
