Join us for a rewarding morning of gardening alongside fellow plant enthusiasts. The park's pollinator, shade, and fern gardens provide habitat for wildlife and educate park guests on the benefits and beauty of native plants. Volunteer tasks include pulling invasive species such as Oriental Honeysuckle and Garlic Mustard, planting native species, and brainstorming ways to enhance and expand the gardens. Gardeners of all levels are welcome. Children ages 14 and older may participate with a parent or guardian. Email sweetrunvolunteer@dcr.virginia.gov with any questions. See you in the garden!
