High Bridge Trail State Park invites you to witness the spectacular sight of nature's fireflies by the thousands in the treetops below the historic High Bridge.

Tickets are required for entry and can be purchased HERE. Tickets are only sold in advance with no refunds, so none will be available at the gate. The standard parking fee is included with your ticket price. This event will be held rain or shine. Schedule of Events
7:00 p.m. - Gates Open
7:00-10:30 p.m. - Festivities: Food trucks and souvenirs to purchase. Bug tent to explore. High Bridge opens.
9:00-9:15 p.m. - Welcome: Introduction to High Bridge Trail State Park at the Appomattox River Overlook.
9:15-9:45 p.m. - Firefly Talk: Meet on High Bridge at the Appomattox River Overlook to be introduced to the natural world of fireflies under High Bridge.
9:45-11:00 p.m. - Self-guided Exploration: Witness nature's fireflies on your own. Stroll across High Bridge to fully experience nature's summer night miracle.
