Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park is excited to announce the Children’s Summer Music Camp. This camp aims to preserve our rich Appalachian musical heritage by offering young enthusiasts the chance to explore traditional classes in fiddle, old-time banjo, and guitar. It’s not just about learning the instruments, however; our campers will also dive into musical games, trivia, and immerse themselves in an exciting week full of music and fun!

The camp will begin on Monday, June 9 and will run through Friday, June 13, from 9 a.m. until noon, and will serve students ages 7 to 12.

A fee of $35 per child covers all supplies and a snack each day. The park will provide the instruments. Participation is limited, so be sure to register by Friday, June 6.
