Earth Day Crafternoon

Join Park Rangers and Lynnhaven River NOW for an afternoon of conservation themed crafting. Materials will be provided for the first 20 participants. Feel free to bring your own craft if you have a current work in progress!

What you'll make: we will feature a demonstration on how to create nature prints using natural materials and upcycling paper grocery bags, as well as nature mandalas. The first 20 participants will receive a picture frame that can be decorated as well for their prints.

About Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability. Visitors are invited to participate in educational programs, guided nature walks, wildlife observation, tree plantings and service projects to help preserve the beauty and biodiversity of the state’s 43 parks.
