Any trail…anywhere…leave it better. Visit Wilderness Road State Park on National Public Lands Day as we host a trail clean up! Participants will work together to clean up a local trail or creek, helping protect wildlife, improve the natural environment, and keep outdoor areas beautiful for everyone. This rewarding activity is a great way to give back, learn about environmental stewardship, and make a positive impact in your community.
Participants must wear closed-toe, closed-heel, comfortable shoes (No sandals, flip flops, crocs, or high heels.)
About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day, an annual event encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 44 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
