Trek the path many settlers walked and discover what life was like back when the legend was formed. Enjoy one of the most beautiful views at the park. A hike on Molly's Knob trail offers views of the lake and sounds of the forest.
This trail has a steep incline and is rated as difficult. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Length is 4 miles round trip. Bring water, a snack and wear closed-toed shoes.
About National Trails Day
On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day®, an annual event sponsored by the American Hiking Society encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails. Virginia’s 44 state parks offer guided hikes, trail maintenance workshops and volunteer opportunities to highlight trail stewardship and the importance of preserving trails for future generations.
