Trek the path many settlers walked and discover what life was like back when the legend was formed. Enjoy one of the most beautiful views at the park. A hike on Molly's Knob trail offers views of the lake and sounds of the forest. 

This trail has a steep incline and is rated as difficult. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Length is 4 miles round trip. Bring water, a snack and wear closed-toed shoes.

On the first Saturday of June, Virginia State Parks celebrates National Trails Day®, an annual event sponsored by the American Hiking Society encouraging outdoor enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to explore hiking, biking and equestrian trails.
