Join a ranger to learn about science, history, and nature at Leesylvania State Park! Please check the dates below for specific topics and be sure to sign up. This program is intended for children ages 5-17 years old.
March 6, 2026: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Kingdoms Hike: Hello Homo sapien! Did you know that there are six kingdoms of life? Each kingdom is further broken down into increasingly specific groups. Join a ranger to learn how to identify and categorize living things using a dichotomous key.
March 20, 2026: 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. Spring Seeds: Seeds come in many shapes and sizes. How does a seed become a plant? What do plants need to survive? Go on a ranger-guided seed scavenger hunt! Learn about native plants, seed dispersal methods, and the benefits of plants.
