Are you curious about the birds around us? We'll walk together to look and listen for birds and identify and record the birds that we observe. New River Trail has over 170 species of birds including songbirds, ducks, and Bald Eagles.

Make sure you dress for the weather and bring water. If you have binoculars, please bring them; if not, binoculars will be available to borrow.

Meet outside the Discovery Center at Foster Falls at 8 a.m.

About Earth Day

In celebration of Earth Day on April 22, Virginia State Parks offers a range of special events and activities highlighting the importance of conservation and sustainability.
