Have you ever wondered what a plant would sound like if it could speak...or play music? Do plants communicate with each other? On this special Earth Week hike, you'll take a dive into the magical sensory world of plant communication and activity, aided by the use of an electrical signal monitoring device that will allow us to listen to each plant's unique musical compositions in real-time! You're bound to be amazed as your senses tune into the incredible pulse of life found everywhere on planet Earth.
The walk will be at a leisurely pace up to 1 mile along Cabin Trail to Big Woods Trail, which is mostly flat. There will be frequent stopping to use the monitoring device to listen to plants. We recommend wearing close-toed shoes and bringing water.
Please register to let us know you're coming. While not required for this program, it is recommended! If you register, we will be able to contact you if the program is cancelled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
